"Hearts starve as well as bodies: Give us Bread, but give us Roses!"
The Bread and Roses Tea showcases the rich diversity of arts and artists in our community. It also reminds us that all people need nourishment for the spirit as well as for the body. Too often those of our neighbors who have the least material resources are also denied opportunities to enjoy the cultural riches of our community. The Bread and Roses Tea creates an afternoon in which we join together to share something beautiful.
Guest artists have included the Columbus Brass Quintet, JazzMet, Tony West and the Imani Dancers, the Chinese Cultural Arts Performance Group, the Richens Academy Irish Step-Dancers, the Back Porch Singers, a Korean dance troupe and many others.
The 2008 BREAD AND ROSES TEA will be held on Sunday NOVEMBER 2, at 3 p.m.
